These are some of the images and items that fans have sent in since this series went live. Aren't these great? I especially like the one below. Do you recognize the location? Next week I'll be posting a free chapter of book 10 on here that will answer some of the questions about who lived and who died.
Have a wonderful week! Me me me

Good morning! I hope your week has been going well.
For this edition of LAW Wednesday, I thought we would discuss some survival aspects of this series. Many people recognize the ‘teaching’ moments in my work, like cooking food in a thermos and great fire starting ideas, but the books also give a basic idea of how to:
I need to put a disclaimer here: I am not responsible for crap that happens if you try these things without researching them or before the world actually collapses. If you think you can treat a gunshot wound instead of going to the hospital, I can’t fix that and I’m not responsible it. Now, if you’re in an awful survival situation and can’t get to a hospital or if aliens land, yes, use it. I still think you should research ANY of the methods in my work BEFORE you ever try them and before you buy any related gear or supplies. All of this stuff really does require more than a quick paragraph in a fiction book to understand. Here are a few other lessons I’ve layered into this 6482 page (currently) series. Did you catch them all?
I hope you never need to use the information in my stories, but if you do, I hope it helps you survive and create your own Safe Haven, no matter what the issue. Just remember, people are the #1 problem during and after a crisis. Watch your six. Some Notes
That’s all for this week, world. May your powder stay dry, but never be needed. Waving at you, Angie This week, I thought it would be fun to look back at the locations in this series. There will be spoilers. The one link goes to a Google map that I created years ago. When you hover over the icons on the map or sometimes you have to click them, you’ll see the comments in the sidebar. Things sure have changed since then! So have the characters, right? Who would have thought that Marc would be leading Safe Haven now or that Tonya would be a productive, welcomed member of the camp? It’s been a crazy ride. Let’s look back. Since the bombs first fell, we’ve been to…
The White House Outside Bonneville, Wyoming -This is where Samantha earned her freedom from Melvin and Henry by killing them. Outside Williamsburg, New Mexico Cincinnati, Ohio West Virginia Trinidad, Colorado The Black Rock Desert -This is where Kenn and Charlie joined Safe Haven NORAD Rawlins, Wyoming -Our married Army doctor and nurse. I still miss John and Anne. Devils Head, Colorado Roosevelt, Utah The Pacific Ocean -Kendle’s survival Illinois Wyoming, near Kemmerer Pitcairn Island -This is where Luke finds Kendle Versailles, Illinois South Dakota state line Near Chadron, Nebraska -Kenn is reunited with Angela. Black Hills of South Dakota Rapid City Airport -This is where Marc dies and Angela brings him back. Union Center, South Dakota Luke’s Cabin on Pitcairn Island -This is where Luke and Kendle have their first kiss. Near Plainview, SD Howes, South Dakota -Angela is stabbed and almost killed by a slaver infiltrator who wanted revenge over the death of his twin brother. Dillan and Dean. Paralleling 73 near Buffalo Gap, SD Near Arthur, Nebraska Crescent Lake Refuge -This is where women get the right to become Eagles in Safe Haven Swanson Rec. Area, Nebraska The Kraft Cave -This is where Kendle suffered through captivity by Ethan Kraft. She has never been the same. Cedar Bluff State Park Near Hays, Kansas The Slaver Camp -Jennifer trying to survive captivity Ellsworth County Rest Stop -This is where Angela was shot by Cesar. Final battle with the slavers who have been stalking them. -Seth rescue Becky, who then kills Rick for abusing her. -Kyle and his teams rescue Jennifer and the others being held in the slaver camp. Hutchinson, Kansas Wichita, Kansas Cleveland, Oklahoma Bixby, Oklahoma -Jeff and Neil begin teaching kai to the females. Neil and Jeremy have accepted that Samantha wants both of them. No one is happy about it. Muskogee, Oklahoma The Arkansas State Line https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=201819586205862863011.0004da5b4fa955f9b1636&msa=0 As you enjoy the map tidbits, please keep in mind that I had to guess on things like locations in the future and what would happen in each edition. You’ll notice by book 8, we were already supposed to be on the boat, on our way to Pitcairn. Obviously, that hasn’t happened yet. That’s books 11-12! I think. Little Rock -Conner joins Safe Haven. Adrian is shot. Toltec State Park -Angela leads Safe Haven Grenada Lake Little Rock Air Force Base -Marc fighting the government troops. Holly Springs National Forest Tishomingo State park, MS -Ty and his mother, Caroline, are rescued from a government facility near here. They are both descendants. Double Springs, Alabama Walnut Grove, Alabama -Angela finds out about Marc’s ‘other’ woman. Route 40, East of Amarillo Near Borden Springs, Alabama -Charlie gives Kenn Smurf Balls Sloppy Floyd State Park, Georgia The Georgia Mountains -This is where Safe Haven crushes the troops in an all-day battle before Angela surrenders herself to the big bunker and Donner. -Safe Haven, now free of the government, sets up a winter camp in the stone. -Dog leaves. -A month later, Marc is in charge of Safe Haven. For books 8 and 9, Safe Haven was still in those cursed mountains, but we did visit with other areas, like: Yellowstone -Ash clouds and earthquakes. Sounds like a nightmare to me. Pennsylvania -The train people. They didn’t last long for having such a badass reputation. Sally’s cabin, 60 miles north of SH Is she nuts or something else? I wrote it and I’m still not sure. Americus, GA -We find out there are surviving UN troops on US soil. Many other locations aren’t on this list. Safe Haven has been clearing cities and towns the entire time it has been traveling. Eagles were constantly (until books 9) being sent out to scavenge and rescue. If I had included all of them, this list would 4xs as long. We’ve visited parks and deserts, oceans and mountains. We’ve been underground and on the ground… But we haven’t spent much time above it, have we? I’ll have to see what I can do about that. Until then, I hope your breeze is steady and your ship is sound. Angie Some Notes

You can also nominate a book while there! https://thebookawards.com/awards/marc-and-dog-a-dual-quest-for-survival/ Submissions Character Names Would you like to name a character in the LAW series? I can just feel some of you rolling your eyes. More people? I can’t keep track of the characters now! I sometimes get nasty comments about that, but how realistic would it be to only mention the main characters by name or how about only having main characters with no secondary or third range people? Humans do not exist in a vacuum. The majority are constantly surrounded by acquaintances, coworkers, friends or family. Why would it be different after society collapses? As refugees gather for protection and support, it will be impossible to keep track of everyone. So I made it that way in the series. Then the story added plot lines that had to be followed, which introduced even more players, but without them, the story would be shallow, incomplete. For example, the UN has arrived at Safe Haven’s doorstep now. Without following Kendle’s story to Market Town, readers would have gotten two paragraphs of explanation and that’s it. Dirce wouldn’t be a full person in their mind. They wouldn’t understand why Conner now has Eagle support. Kendle’s disease would still be vague and without a verification scene. And then there are the twins. No one would know where they came from or who Rita was. Turning out a good story is easy. Giving you an epic series that will stick in your head forever? Not so much. It requires details, layering, subtle additions you don’t notice on the first read through and of course, amazing characters. And I’m running low. I need names! I’ve used over 100 so far. You wouldn’t think it would be that hard to find more than that, but you have to have a first, last, and sometimes even a middle. Here are the requirements: Submit a First and last name Do NOT suggest names that begin with “K”, “A”, “S”, “T” I have used those so much that it would be confusing to the readers. At points, it already is, especially when I have Adrian, Angela, Kenn and Kendle in the same conversation. Do NOT use ANY name that is already part of this series. Your name is fine, but you must state that you have no claim to the character upon submitting it. That means you can’t tell me what to do with the character. I can make them into a transvestite alien overlord who snorts cats and drinks the sun with lunch. They may also be a serial killer with a taste for newborn human flesh. Be sure you want to be immortalized in one of my books. You could end up as anything or anyone. You don’t have to include a bio, but if you do, these are the basic notes I make about every new character: (Feel free to send any or all of it) Name (first and last) Age, Born where and when Career or field of study/background/childhood Where they were when the bombs fell How they survived and where they’ve been Please submit your character name/info in the comments of this post or you can use the contact form found here. Fan images Next month, I will be doing a fan day post where I display some of the incredible gifts, letters and images I’ve received from readers. Did you know seeing a reader with our book is a huge thrill for an author? One wonderful gentleman even sent me images of himself reading on his flight. Did I mention he was part of the crew? It’s a sweet picture of my book on his Kindle with the cockpit view in the background. I may blow it up and frame it! Very cool; as was the flag that had been flown over a real battlefield. I do have that one framed. I hope that by the time I retire, there isn’t room on the walls of my office for all of the items like these. When I have my really bad days, I stare at those and remind myself that things can always get better. Your love of the story being demonstrated in picture is helpful in more ways than I can explain, but mostly, it’s proof that I’m not wasting my life. Thank you for that. Please send any images or such to: [email protected] Submit a review quote Can I use a quote from you for my sales pages and sites? All you have to do is tell me what you think of my series. Please state that you give me permission to use your quote and tell me your career. For example: "I’m Angela. I’m an author and I… blah blah. I give C9 Publications permission to use my quote." You can submit it through the contact form found here or you can place your comments on this post and they’ll already be on this site for everyone to see!
